| Allen Carter died at his home on Saginaw street, Bay City, November 6, 1890. Mr. Carter was born in England, October 12, 1811, and was married to Miss Elizabeth Ely, January 1, 1831. Emigrated to the Saginaw valley in 1850, and was for many years millwright in the various mills on the Saginaw river; a man of sterling integrity and much respected by the citizens with whom he so long lived. |
